Drywall Your Home On Your Own

If you want to do a great home improvement project than consider putting down new drywall in just a few easy steps. You will use a few simple tools to do the job including a putty trial, sandpaper, joint putty, scraper, and a tray.

The first step is to sand down your walls and get rid of any bumps or imperfections. You can use a drywall sander if you want this will help you with drywall finishing by giving you a great surface to start with. You will want to wipe everything down so there is no sand and you can see just a white surface.

You will use your putty trial and scrapper to fill in any holes that you may find while you do this. You can put the joint putty into the whole and then you will need to do another coat depending. You will have to do this until everything is smooth and you have filled in the hole.

Use your sandpaper to get a really clean area and wash everything up and make sure it is dust free. You will want it to be all dry and then you can use sand paper on the wall.

Now use your drywall kit to complete the job You will be able to repaint your walls after youve finished. You might want to put a few coats of paint down to get the best look for your home. Once that is done you can complete any other decoration or home improvement projects that you want to do to complete the look of your home.

Youll want to be sure that your first coat is dried completely before you put down another coat and you will also want to be careful not to get any curtains or anything else touching the wet drywall.

Ad texture in the room with some new drapes or any other touches you can think of for your home.

You could also try to give the room a popcorn effect. This is a technique that you can do on your walls and it will give your room a really great look.

It can cost you under $100 bucks to drywall your house and to paint it. It can cost more too, but you will be happy with the results and your home will be worth even more money once you have completed the project.

If you can spend just $100 and make your house increase in value by a few thousand than you know youve made a good decision. So if you have the money to spend now than you should go ahead and do it because you can save yourself time and money in the future if you do it today. Not to mention it will be a long term investment in your home.
